Taking karaoke to new heights on the London Cable Car

Taking karaoke to new heights on the London Cable Car: TfL Image - London Cable Car Cable Car-aoke

From today (Thursday 3 September), Londoners and visitors will be able to book a very special ride on the London Cable Car again as Cable Car-aoke returns, following its successful first run last year. Once again, two cabins have been transformed into disco ball karaoke booths, where passengers can sing their hearts out high above the Thames every Thursday and Friday evening, from 10 September to 16 October.

Those travelling in the decorated disco-themed car-aoke cabins can choose from a playlist of 1,000 songs, complete with a speaker and microphone to get the full karaoke experience against the backdrop of London's illuminated skyline. Whether you’re 'Flying Without Wings' across the river to see Westlife in concert at the O2, or ending a night out in style, up to six people per cabin can join in the fun, with ticket options including a cocktail or mocktail.

Joe Scheinkonig, Head of Operational Business Development at TfL, said: "We’re excited to bring Cable Car-aoke to London Cable Car, offering passengers the unique opportunity to perform their favourite songs while travelling 90 metres above the River Thames. It's a truly special experience and we hope that Londoners and those visiting the capital will take the opportunity to step up to the microphone, create unforgettable memories and enjoy the city from a completely different perspective."

Cable-Car-aoke isn't the only way to enjoy a special journey on the London Cable Car. For those that prefer sipping to singing, the Champagne Experience includes fast-tracked entry to the Cable Car, plus a glass of Champagne or a soft drink to enjoy before taking to the skies to soak up some spectacular views.

For passengers with a head for heights, the Glass Floor Experience offers a 360-degree view of the city from 90 metres above the Thames, with mirrored ceilings providing the perfect selfie setting.
